When I was trying to investigate air purification systems via CES, I had to do my own research to make sure that the vendors actually met the guidelines that was established via DOH, PED, HVAC. Most of the air purification systems did not meet the guidelines and I was afraid to purchase because I was not familiar with the specs needed. What prevents this from happening in the future?

Could the vendor information include where payments are mailed. W-9 information and payment mailing information are rarely the same address.

Does the blue book have whether or not we can send a PO directly to the vendor or if we need to submit in the CES system? Mainly I am asking about food vendors, where we have been ordering directly from them on their system.

I am sorry, I might of missed this. How will we receive our log in for CES? Will you be providing that to us?

Will the Members need to contact the Vendors for "Subscription" licenses to change notices/invoicing to the Member rather than CES?

It would be helpful to include a “more information” or “notes” box. The salesperson may not be the contact shown in the Blue Book, but it would be nice to have them sent a copy of the PO as well as the CES contact person for the particular vendor.

Two questions:So we will be contacted by Gary Tripp to verify the email address we (S.R.C.S.) want to use to upload Direct Purchasing POs?

Would we be able to give access to the digital Bluebook to others within our municipality, or is that only made available to those of us in our procurement department that have access to the shared email login/password?

Our Purchasing Program has several Buyers that work with CES. Is the email for the login sent to all?

So with direct purchase order we don't email the vendor with the po, you will send the po to vendor correct?

If our funding agencies require us to obtain 3 quotes for products or services,, how is this direct service going to help us with sole sourcing or in areas where it is difficult to receive 3 quotes?

Since we now need to establish an independent vendor account in our accounting system, does CES confirm that the EIN on the W-9 coincides with IRS records? This will ensure that there won't be any issues after the annual Forms 1099's are filed.

What is going to constitute "construction" for you? Ex: resurfacing our playground or parking lot. Is that construction or another category?

How would we know who is getting the shared login within our municipality?

I would suggest an account that could be used to do research but not submit purchase orders. We have departments that can do the research and give the Procurement Officer the information, we do not want them to have our password that will allow them to PURCHASE.

Once CES stamps "APPROVED" does it go back to the originator or can it be sent to multiple people for example to the AP?

Is there someone in particular at CES that we should contact if we already have a shared e-mail address for our purchasing group, which we'd like to use to log in and submit POs? Or will that be covered in the pending e-mail?

CPO's NEVER share your password!

If the vendor we are making a purchase from is not a participant thru CES are we still allowed to make purchases from them? I am asking because we buy shirts from small privately owned company's or this up to our company?

My concern is that our entire municipality is on the CES list and everyone is going to get the shared login.
